Robyn Kirwin

My name is Robyn Kirwin and I’m 22 years old. If been back in Banff now for 10 months. I’m original from a small village called Mount Elgin in Ontario.

I came to Banff for my first time in between my 2 years of college to work at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. It was for 5 months I worked as a sports attendant. I had an amazing time. I fell in love with the mountains and the Lakes all around Banff and Lake Louise. My time came to go back to College, which I did then I moved to Dallas Texas for 2 years. To work at the Fairmont there, I had a blast but I missed to Mountains, coming from a small farm in the middle of no where Dallas was not the place for me. I finished my contract and moved back out west. This time to live in Banff, I was Lucky to find my own little Cabin to Rent and to have my Dog “Lucky” be able to live with me.

I now work as a Front Desk Agent at the Banff Aspen Lodge, as well I’m the Desk Supervisor at The Old Spaghetti Factory. I do work two full time jobs and I love every minute at both. Both jobs have lots of opportunities for advancements. I was only at the Restaurant for 3 months and I was given the Desk Supervisor Position.

I do plan to make Banff my new home for at least the next couple of years. The main highlight here in Banff to me is to be able to wake up each morning and smell the fresh air and just to open your eyes and look around to see the amazing mountains.

I came to Banff both times alone, which has been great. I have meet tons of people from all over the world, and have made friends that will be a part of my life forever. Banff is a great place to meet people, and to start fresh.

I have to say the best thing I’ve done out west was I invited my best friend from Dallas to come see me, and I was able to show someone that has never see mountains or Lakes like these ones before and we went Sky Diving. It was unbelievable to see it all from up in the sky and jump free. The Best thing I’ve done out west.

So if you are looking for a great place to work, grown and have the time of your life, then Banff, Lake Louise is the place for you.
